Warranty Policy

Please read the below to understand your rights under Australian consumer law.

If you would like more information – please refer to the documentation regarding consumer guarantees at ACCC (Australia) and CPNZ (New Zealand) for more information.

If our products we sell on www.techunion.com.au / www.techunion.co.nz fail to meet a guarantee, you will have rights against us, and in some cases the manufacturer, who will have to provide a ‘remedy’—to put right a fault, deficiency or failure to meet an obligation.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law dictate we MUST offer you a replacement, refund or repair (where applicable) on products sold to you when you have an issue. The issue could be:

  • there is a problem that would have stopped you from buying the item if you had known about it;
    • is unsafe; is significantly different from the description or image;
    • doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for; and
    • can’t be easily fixed.

Please note, when assessing a warranty claim, we may take into account how much time has passed since you bought the product considering the following factors:

  • type of product;
  • how you are likely to use the product;
  • the length of time for which it is reasonable for the product to be used;
  • the amount of use it could reasonably be expected to tolerate before the failure becomes noticeable.

If a product is found NOT to have a problem, you may be required to pay the transport or inspection costs. An estimate of these costs will be provided to you before the product is collected.be refunded if there are other items listed on the original invoice that are not being returned.

PLEASE NOTE: We only handle claims on warranty on products purchased through www.techunion.com.au / www.techunion.co.nz.

We only collect this information from you to process the Warranty Claim. We do not keep this information for any other purpose. We may ask you later for further contact information if we need to talk to you about your claim. Please read our PRIVACY POLICY for more information.

Warranty Claim Procedure

Fill out the claim form

Fill out the claim form on this page. Please include your order number.

You will receive an email with further instructions

Our customer care team will contact you and request further information to complete the warranty claim. This will likely include sending in a photo of your proof of purchase and photos of the product. 

You will receive a confirmation email

You will be contacted by email to confirm if your warranty claim has been approved or declined. If approved, you will be sent a replacement product and notified. If approved you will be asked to either send the faulty product back or provide photos of it destroyed.
